St. Stephen Street Residence Hall
Northeastern University, Boston, MA

OVERVIEW
Jones Architecture’s renovations at the 106 St. Stephen Street Residence Hall include finish, AV, ADA, and building systems upgrades to three student spaces within this residence hall in Boston’s Symphony Hall neighborhood. The building provides an outlet for students with the Social Justice Resource Center (SJRC) and the Violence Support, Intervention and Outreach Network Center (ViSION), co-located in the basement level space with meeting and student workshop spaces for each of the two groups. Both the SJRC and ViSION Center share the same “living room” atmosphere to promote an informal and comfortable environment for sensitive and emotional discussions. The adjacent space is a student lounge and study space that defaults to an open general use lounge but can also host scheduled small meetings or larger gatherings for the residents.
